Curie temperature

The temperature above which a piezoelectric material will depolarize. In practice, the operating temperature of the piezoelectric material must be kept substantially below the Curie temperature. Otherwise, electrical losses increase, the maximum safe stress is reduced, and piezoelectric properties are altered.
