Element

A subsection of a slotted horn that is separated from other such subsections by a slot. The number of elements on a given face is one more than the number of slots on that face.

Examples —

• A bar horn with two slots has three elements.
• A block horn with four slots in one face and two slots in the orthogonal face has 5x3 = 15 elements.
