Load

1. The material that is to be affected by the application of ultrasonic energy. The load may be plastic, metal, ceramic, liquid, biological, etc.
2. The level of power that is transferred to the part e.g., a power supply is heavily loaded if it is operating near its maximum capacity. Also see overload and stall.
3. The force or torque that is applied to a part (e.g., to a stud). Also see quasi-static load.
