Symmetric locations

A location that is symmetric with respect to the resonator's stud axis.

Examples:

  1. Bar horns: at any two locations that are equally spaced from the stud axis (e.g., the ends of the face, over symmetrically spaced slots, etc.).
  2. Block horns: at any four locations that are equally spaced from the stud axis (e.g., the corners of the face, over symmetrically spaced slot intersections, at mid-edge locations, etc.).
  3. Radially slotted cylindrical horns: at locations on the periphery of the horn face above the slots, at locations on the periphery of the horn face midway between the slots, etc.

For most applications, the amplitudes at specified symmetric locations should ideally be identical.
